Update (September 8, 2021):
UK: We received our VAT Number yesterday, so we're back in action!! We'll collect VAT on orders under £135; you'll have to pay VAT upon delivery for higher-priced orders.
Update (August 12, 2021):
EU: With new rules affecting orders under $180, it can take many months for your order to arrive. Please do not email us asking where your order is; we have no idea how international shipments are being handled now that they changed the VAT rules. For orders over $180, we will mark the full value of your order on the customs documents and you'll pay VAT and/or duties on your order when it arrives.
Update (June 28, 2021):
As the UK and EU have recently changes their rules regarding VAT, we are still learning the best ways to continue to delivery orders to those regions. We didn't ask for these extra headaches and expenses, so please be patient with us as we navigate these new rules. These may change in the coming weeks or months, but for now, there are the new policies:
UK: We cannot accept UK orders again until we have our VAT number (which may take up to 3 months). So in the meanwhile, we'll be setting aside a very limited quantity of both the sculpture and print for UK collectors which will be sold on a first come, first served basis. So starting at the release time (11am EST on Wednesday June 30), please send an email to firstname.lastname@example.org and indicate which item(s) you're interested in. (Emails received before then will be deleted). When we get our VAT number, we'll reach out to collectors in the order of emails received. IF we still have the items you're interested in, you'll be able to complete your order at that time. For orders up to $180, VAT will be added to your order at checkout. For orders over $180, you'll pay VAT and/or any other duties when your order arrives. Yes, we will mark the full value of your order on the customs documents. For future orders, after we have our VAT number, the process will be much easier!
We ship your order as quickly and cost-effectively as possible (usually it will go out within a few days). You will get an email (with tracking, if available) when your order ships.
For smaller items, domestic orders ship via First Class mail and should arrive within 4 days from ship date. For larger/heavier items, domestic orders ship via Priority Mail and should arrive within 3 business days from ship date.
International orders shipped First Class should arrive in 7-10 business days from ship date (but shipping times to a few select countries could take months; if you live in one of those countries, you probably already know that). Orders over 4 pounds will be shipped via Priority Mail, which is significantly more expensive. Unfortunately, the post office recently increased the rates for smaller items; anything 7 oz or under is charged the same.
We mark the full value of your order on the customs forms and therefore your order may have a customs duty applied, depending on the country in which you reside. It is YOUR responsibility to pay this duty.
It is your responsibility to provide the correct shipping information. If you need to change the shipping address on your order, please email us right away. If we haven’t shipped the item yet, we’re happy to change it.
If any shipping details are missing or incorrect and you don’t reply to our request within 5 days, we will automatically cancel and refund your order.
If you place multiple orders, we will pack them together if possible, but you will not be entitled to a partial shipping refund. We have carefully calculated the shipping rates and combining shipping on multiple orders does not necessarily mean that it will be cheaper to ship. Even if it is, you are not entitled to any partial refund of the shipping fees. Similarly, if your order costs more to ship than what you paid, you will not be asked to pay more.
We do not deliver the packages; your local post office does. If you get a notice that it has been delivered, but you don't see it, please don't email us. Wait a day or two and if it still hasn't arrived, contact your local post office. It's possible that it's being held at the post office for you to pick up.
We take great care to pack your order as safely as possible. Nearly 100% of our orders arrive quickly and in tact. If, however, you have received an item that is damaged or your order is not delivered within five months, you have the choice of two options:
1: Return the item at your expense, or provide appropriate documentation, and we will refund the order (minus the shipping fees you paid), or
2: If we have available inventory, we will ship you a replacement item. If you choose this option and your order arrives damaged again, or not at all, we will not offer a refund or ship you another replacement item.
